The Bolgheri Rosso "Varvàra" is a full-bodied and intense Bordeaux blend red wine, aged for 10 months in barrique. Pleasant fruity and spicy notes accompanied by hints of withered flowers lead to a harmonious, fresh and deep sip.
The name Varvàra is in honor of Baroness Varvàra Wrangel, wife of Count Ugolino della Gherardesca, great-grandparents of the current owner. Varvàra comes from the desire to develop a more immediate wine, with the fruit in the foreground. A younger wine in which a broad, precise, elegant bouquet is sought. On the palate it is rich and engaging but with gentle tannins. The component of freshness and gustatory strength are the finish. Maximum care in every step and uncompromising as for a premium wine.
