Brunello Montosoli has an intense ruby red color which fades into garnet with ageing. The nose denotes an exceptional personality with notes of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, violet, licorice, vanilla and slight hints of pink pepper. In the mouth it reveals a dry, warm, velvety flavour, rich texture and noble breed. The finish is warm and long lasting.
From Montalcino's most famous vineyard, this opens with aromas of cured meats, grilled herbs and a whiff of ripe olive. The palate offers red cherry, licorice, savory herb and a mineral note along with firm yet fine-grained youthful tannins that need time to unwind. To drink after 2018. 93/100 Wine Enthusiast
