Caiarossa 2010
Produced from the biodynamic Caiarossa estate in Riparbella, the 2010 Caiarossa is an extraordinary and complex expression of the Tuscan terroir. This vintage, considered a classic, embodies the elegance of a unique blend of 25% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah, and 5% Petit Verdot. With an alcohol content of 14%, the wine has been aged extensively in French barriques, forging its character and longevity.
After fifteen years, the wine displays exceptional aromatic depth and finesse. The nose opens with complex and layered notes of ripe red fruit, leather, tobacco, licorice, sweet spices, and a touch of balsamic. On the palate, it is powerful yet incredibly harmonious, with silky, well-integrated tannins. Its still vibrant acidity and long, persistent finish confirm its tremendous aging potential. This wine pairs beautifully with rich red meat dishes, such as roasts and braised meats, game, and mature cheeses. It is a wine that embodies Caiarossa's philosophy and the profound value of its terroir.
