The Cascina Penna Currado winery, located in Castiglione Tinella, in the heart of Monferrato, is a family-run winery that has been expressing the potential of its terroir for four generations. The 2024 Derthona is a youthful and fresh expression of Timorasso, a native grape from the Tortona Hills. With an alcohol content of 13.5% and a brief aging in stainless steel, the wine offers an intense, mineral bouquet of white-fleshed fruit, aromatic herbs, and a hint of saltiness. On the palate, it is taut and enveloping, with a pleasant drinkability and a long finish. It pairs perfectly with pasta dishes, fish, and fresh cheeses.
