Adriano Marco and Vittorio Sanadaive 2021 Barbaresco

The 2021 Barbaresco Sanadaive by Adriano Marco and Vittorio is a pure Nebbiolo from southwest-facing vineyards in the municipality of San Rocco Seno d'Elvio (Alba), at 280 meters above sea level. The vines, approximately 30 years old, grow on soils composed of gray marl alternating with layers of sand. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26-28°C, with traditional submerged cap maceration for approximately three weeks. The wine ages for at least 12 months in 30-50 hectoliter oak barrels, followed by nine months in bottle. It has a garnet red color with orange highlights and intense aromas of wild rose, violet, licorice, and dried flowers. On the palate, it is harmonious, with silky tannins, proving pleasantly elegant even when young.
