Adriano Marco and Vittorio Sanadaive 2020 Barbaresco

The Barbaresco Sanadaive 2020 by Adriano Marco and Vittorio is a pure Nebbiolo from vineyards facing south-west in the municipality of San Rocco Seno d'Elvio (Alba), at 280 meters above sea level. The vines, about 30 years old, grow on soils composed of gray marl alternating with layers of sand. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26-28 ° C, with traditional submerged cap maceration for about three weeks. The wine ages for at least 12 months in 30-50 hectolitre oak barrels, followed by 9 months in the bottle. It has a garnet red color with orange reflections, intense aromas of dog rose, violet, licorice and dried flowers. On the palate it is harmonious, with silky tannins, resulting pleasantly elegant even in its youth.
