
Caiarossa Air 2016 IGT Tuscany
L'Aria di Caiarossa 2016 is a Toscana IGT produced by Caiarossa, the result of a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and a small percentage of Grenache. The grapes, harvested by hand, are vinified separately in truncated cone-shaped wooden vats and cement tanks, with slow fermentations and delicate extractions. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for about 13 months in French oak barriques. It has an intense ruby color; on the nose it offers a broad and rich bouquet, with hints of blackberry, blueberry, spices, chocolate and toasted tones. On the palate it is vibrant, with a velvety texture that reflects the expression of the volcanic soils of the vineyards on Monte di Nocolino.
