Château Giscours 2016 margaux grand cru

Classified as a Third Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Château Giscours is an icon of the elegance and finesse of the Margaux appellation. This wine, with an alcohol content of 13.5%, is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. It has been aged for approximately 17 months in barriques, 50% of which are new. On the nose, it presents a complex and seductive bouquet of black berry fruit, such as cassis and cherry, enriched with notes of sweet spice, cedar, and a balsamic touch. On the palate, it is elegant and harmonious, with fine, silky tannins, a solid structure, and a long, persistent finish. It pairs perfectly with rich red meat dishes, such as roasts and braised meats, game, and aged cheeses.
