Château Giscours 2016 margaux grand cru

Sale price€90,00

Classified as a Third Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Château Giscours is an icon of the elegance and finesse of the Margaux appellation. Situated on exceptional gravel terroir, the estate is known for its refined style and its ability to produce wines that fully reflect the character of their terroir. 2016 was an exceptional vintage throughout Bordeaux, renowned for its harmony, freshness, and remarkable aging potential.

This wine, with an alcohol content of 13.5%, is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. It has been aged for approximately 17 months in barriques, 50% of which are new. On the nose, it presents a complex and seductive bouquet of black berry fruit, such as cassis and cherry, enriched with notes of sweet spice, cedar, and a balsamic touch. On the palate, it is elegant and harmonious, with fine, silky tannins, a solid structure, and a long, persistent finish. It pairs perfectly with rich red meat dishes, such as roasts and braised meats, game, and aged cheeses.
