Bolgheri Superiore Podere Grattamacco 2019

From the historic Grattamacco winery, one of the pioneers and most prestigious in the Bolgheri appellation, the 2019 Bolgheri Superiore is an extraordinary expression of elegance and depth. Located on a hillside with a unique terroir, the winery is renowned for its highly balanced wines, capable of combining the power of Bordeaux varietals with the finesse of the terroir. 2019 was an exceptional vintage, producing wines of great structure, elegance, and aging potential.

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and a touch of Sangiovese, the wine has been aged for approximately 18 months in oak barrels. On the nose, it presents a complex and layered bouquet of dark fruits, such as cassis and blackberry, enriched with notes of tobacco, sweet spices, leather, and a touch of balsamic. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, yet incredibly elegant and velvety. The tannins are dense yet very fine, and the vibrant acidity ensures exceptional evolution. The finish is long and persistent, a true masterpiece of balance. It pairs magnificently with rich red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses.
