Paleo Le Macchiole 2016

From the historic Le Macchiole winery, one of the most iconic and influential estates in the Bolgheri appellation, the 2016 Paleo is an extraordinary expression of power and elegance. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes and with an alcohol content of 14.5%, the wine has been aged for approximately 18 months in French oak barriques. On the nose, it presents a complex and layered bouquet of red and black fruits, such as cassis and blackberry, enriched with notes of tobacco, sweet spices, leather, and a touch of balsamic. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, yet incredibly elegant and velvety. The tannins are dense yet very fine, and the vibrant acidity ensures exceptional evolution. The finish is long and persistent, a true masterpiece of balance. It pairs magnificently with rich red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses.
