
Pergolaia 2016 Caiarossa IGT
Caiarossa's Pergolaia 2016 is a Toscana IGT composed mainly of Sangiovese, with the addition of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The grapes, harvested by hand, ferment separately in cement and wood tanks, with slow fermentations and delicate extractions. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is assembled and matures for approximately 12 months in wooden barrels, followed by further refinement in the bottle. It has a clear ruby red color; the nose reveals aromas of ripe red fruits, floral notes and light spicy nuances. On the palate it is fresh and lively, with well-integrated tannins and a harmonious finish.
